I hate when somebody refers to being gay as "living the gay lifestyle" "Lifestyle" would imply it is a choice... we can choose to live any "lifestyle" we want... it is simply the style of our life... I didn't choose to be gay any more than you chose to be white or black, male or female, tall or short, diabetic or not, and the list goes on and on... What? Just because I'm a little bit more stylish? Don't care for sports? Am a bit more sensitive? and like men instead of women? All of a sudden, I'm living a lifestyle??? People --- being gay is NOT a lifestyle. Being gay is not the only aspect of my being! -I'm Religious -I'm a Student -I volunteer with animals -I like to write -I make youtube videos Am I living these lifestyles as well??? I would like to compare this to a red pen... no matter how hard the red pen tries to be black, he's always going to come out red. He can trying wearing a nametag that says black or dressing up like he's black, but no matter what he's always going to come out red. The thing that sucks for him is that black and blue are accepted, red is not - red is for the mistakes. I compare red to the gay person... no matter how hard we try to be something different, we are always going to be gay, the same as someone who is straight is always going to be straight, so we need to END THE IGNORANCE... AND TREAT EVERYONE LIKE EQUALS! BLUE, BLACK, AND RED FOR EQUALITY!!!
